Stone in Derry pays tribute to those who died for Irish Freedom
A new stone erected in Derry city cemetery commemorate those who dedicated their lives to the cause of Irish Freedom.
A new stone erected in Derry city cemetery commemorate those who dedicated their lives to the cause of Irish Freedom.
The new stone was unveiled by Sinn Féin European parliamentaria Martina Anderson and by Sinn Féin executive Bill Maginn.
The stone reads: "This stone is dedicated to all those who were active in Oglaigh na hEireann over the many decades and who have since passed away. They dedicated their lives to the cause of Irish freedom and served with great courage. (Fuair siad bás ar son Saoirse na hÉireann)".
