Suruç (Urfa) Council premises have been raided since this morning by police. It is understood that the raid began this morning at 5.30am and it is still underway. Council vice president Mehmet Özkan is among the many detained.

After the arrest, yesterday, of a number of union's officials, human rights association's executives and members, today the repression hit Suruç council.
