Switzerland decided to deport asylum seekers from Maxmur, Abdulkarim and Ahmed Tallı brothers who came to Switzerland four years ago, to Turkey. Attorney Hüsnü Yılmaz pointed out that all laws were violated and the brothers did not have life safety.
The brothers who stayed in a camp in Aarau Canton of Switzerland left the village of Akduman (Mijîn) in Şırnak's Uludere district in 1994 due to the pressures of the Turkish state and settled in Maxmur Camp as a family.
The Tallı brothers, who came to Switzerland illegally, were summoned by the Aarau Canton police about 3 years ago. The Tallı brothers, whose "road statements" were taken by a Turkish-origin police officer, were forced to speak Turkish by the Turkish policeman, despite their request for an interpreter.
The Tallı brothers were not given an interpreter despite their little knowledge of Turkish. “Those in the Maxmur camp are terrorists. This is a country of police,” said the Turkish police officer to them, and sent the brothers back to their camps after taking their statements under pressure.
Tallı brothers said they do not have any official record in Turkey. They pointed out that sending them to the country where they had been oppressed for years is death for them. The brothers are expected to be deported by force to Turkey until 24 December.
The attorney of the Tallı brothers, Hüsnü Yılmaz revealed that rejection of his clients is contrary to the legal conventions of the international laws. Yılmaz said, ‘’We are talking about two young people who stayed in various camps including Maxmur. We are talking about two young persons whose family is sensitive to the camp life and the Kurdish people and who have struggled. The opinion and attitude of the fascist racist Turkish state on Maxmur residents is well known. The Turkish President threatened openly, and the fascist armies bombed the camp in defiance of the Geneva Conventions and protocols. Many Swiss people took action to correct this legal mistake. They organize a signature campaign. Tallı brothers need everyone's support in this regard. This is both a humanitarian and a political task.’’
