In a statement regarding the invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) said that Russia was responsible for the attacks.
The MSD said: “The Turkish state has recently increased its hostile attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria. The Turkish state, in its frenzy to target the Syrian Democratic Forces and civilian vehicles, has killed dozens of people so far.
The MSD strongly condemns the terrorist attacks carried out by the Turkish state. The responsibility for these attacks rests with the Russian federal government. We call on the Russian government and the international forces in Syria to condemn these attacks. Claiming to be the guarantor of the ceasefire in the region, Russia should now put a stop to the crimes committed by the Turkish state.”
The MSD added: “Silence encourages the Turkish state. Turkey is threatening the security of the region and spreading terrorism in the world. The attacks show that the Turkish state is trying to cause a major crisis in the region. The MSD calls on the international coalition against ISIS to take a serious stance against the attacks. We call on the international community to take action as the attacks by the Turkish state violate international law and threaten the security of the whole world.”
