Several people have been killed by security forces today in the Syrian city of Deraa. Army forces have entered the city with tanks leaving at least 25 people dead, reports said.

According to eyewitnesses the army is hitting out at the houses. Damascus has announced the closure of the border with Jordany. Syrian President Basar al Assad seems to have chosen the hard way to crash opposition, despite promises of reforms.
