Members of the Teachers Trade Union, Eðitim-Sen, protested against the arrest of two students for 20 months and turned themselves in to the authorities saying that "the students were arrested for asking free education. Now we are demanding same thing. Then we are committing the same crime.”

Teachers referred to the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan recent declaration aimed at preventing crime. Erdoðan announced that the government is preparing a law which offer money for citizens who informed on a ‘criminal or crime.’ Employing the method from the USA, Erdoðan named it “Reward for Justice.”
