The Baykan National Educational Directorate and local governor ordered the dismissal of three teachers and a school manager from their job and opened an investigation about another teacher for attending a musical activity organized for Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Siirt deputy Gültan Þýrnak in Siirt.

The teachers, Þefik Günel, Metin Erdoðan and Sabahattin Yýldýzata’s agreements were rejected on June 13, following the authorities’ order. A school manager, Çetin Geçkin, will continue his occupational life as a teacher after this order and will be investigated with another teacher Mehmet Orhan for the same accusation.

The teachers refused the Directorate decision and rejected the accusation. They will lodge an appeal against the orders for returning to their duties.
