BREMEN

An information stand has been set up in front of the State Parliament in Germany’s Bremen for a week. The demonstration launched by the call of the European Democratic Kurdish Council will be held in front of the parliament building every day between 13.00-17.00 hours for a week.

On the first day of the demonstration, activist passed flyers depicting the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the massacre policies implemented in Kurdistan by the AKP government. The Kurdistani groups attending the demonstration informed the public in groups in the city center.

COLOGNE

A week long tent demonstration was launched in Cologne against the total annihilation concept implemented in Kurdistan by the AKP government. The tent demonstration will be held every day between 16.00-20.00 hours in Cologne’s Dom Square. First day of the demonstration was carried out by the Viyan Women’s Assembly.

Despite the heavy rain, dozens of Kurdistani women attended the demonstration and said they won’t stay silent in the face of the total annihilation war the AKP government has launched in Kurdistan and protested the continuing isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. A banner reading “Women for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan” was hanged on the tent. The women frequently chanted slogans against Erdoğan/AKP in German and passed out flyers in German. They also called on Germans to not travel to Turkey.

The tent demonstration will be carried out by the Aachen Democratic Society Center today. The preparation committee called for a strong turn out from Kurdistanis and called on everybody to take to the squares and raise their voice in this process.

DUSSELDORF

A 10 day long tent demonstration was launched in Germany’s Dusseldorf on the call of KCDK-E with the motto, “freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and legal status for Kurdistan”.

The tent demonstration led by the Dusseldorf Democratic Kurdish Society Center will be held between 15.00-20.00 hours every day for the next ten days in front of the Dusseldorf Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof). DKSC Co-chair Haydar Aslan called for support from neighboring cities.

People showed great interest in the demonstration despite the heavy rain and activists passed out flyers in German.

HANNOVER

A week long tent demonstration was launched in front of the central train station in Hannover. The demonstration began yesterday and flyers were passed out.

The tent demonstration will be held every day in front of the Hannover Central Train Station and will end with a rally on June 24.

DEN HAAG

A 10 day long demonstration was launched in the Netherlands’ Den Haag city with the motto, “Freedom for Leader Öcalan, Legal Status for Kurdistan”. Kurds and allies of the Kurdish people attended the demonstration, and there will be demonstrations held in Den Haag’s Spuiplein as well as Damplein in Amsterdam today.
