The bill against the will of people to be discussed in the Parliament

The omnibus bill that constitutes an attack on the gains and the will of the Kurdish people will be discussed in the Parliament tomorrow.

The omnibus bill that includes the removal of DBP co-mayors from office and appointment of trustees to the municipalities, and that will take away the province status of Hakkari and Şırnak will be discussed in the Parliamentary General Assembly tomorrow. The draft was accepted in the Parliament Plan and Budget Commission last week and consists of 73 articles.

The draft aims to seize the will of the people, and takes away the province status of Hakkari and Şırnak.

HDP Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel made a statement earlier today and said they will not recognize the trustees. Demirtaş said they will resist both in the parliament and outside, and that the people will not allow the trustee to work. Demirtaş also called for an early local election.
