The Turkish state continues to give logistic support to ISIS
A customs officer working at the Akçakale border gate, which was the focus of attention when the Turkish state sent thousands of trucks laden with heavy weapons to the ISIS gangs, made astonishing claims.
The customs official, who does not want to give his name, claimed that the Turkish state is providing logistic support for the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham) gangs at the border gate, and that scrap weapons of the ISIS gangs are being kept in a scrap store in the customs area.
The officer said that one year ago, modern, highly sensitive x-ray equipment was bought for the border gate. This equipment can show even inside the vehicles. However, the customs officer said that this equipment has never been used since the day it was bought. The officer, who did not want to give his name because of security, said: “the trucks coming from the Turkish side are loading weapons in the trucks coming from Syria at the customs area. During this process, no one is waiting in the customs area except official and plain-clothes police officers and some customs officers.”
Weapons store at customs
Meanwhile, the customs officer stated that after the ISIS gangs initiated the savage attack on Kobanê on 15 September, the unusable heavy weapons and anti-aircraft weapons belonging to the ISIS gangs are being kept in a scrap store in the customs area. The officer also claimed that there are traces of blood on the scrap weapons. The officer lastly said that the people are crossing the border without any checks.
