As the Turkish media makes manipulative claims that Kobanê is about to fall in face of ISIS attacks, a comical staged incident has occurred on a hill opposite Kobanê during media coverage.

Mainstream Turkish media reporters have since early morning been trying to take photographs of the security measures being taken by Turkish soldiers on the road to the Mürşitpınar border crossing. For some unknown reason, the reporters took photos of soldiers taking up position with their fingers on the trigger. The fact the soldiers were pointing their rifles towards Suruç rather than Kobanê only added to the comedy.

The Turkish media presented these scenes under the headline: "Latest pictures from the border: troops on alert".
