Within the framework of civil disobedience actions launched by the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party), about five thousand people in Cizre district of Sýrnak performed Civil Friday Prayer and listened to sermon in Kurdish.

Reading the Friday sermon in Kurdish, Sait Acartay called out to the President of Religious Affairs, with Quran in his hands; I would like to invite to faith. Is there any language ban in religion? Can you show us whether the Quran has a language ban. We were brothers? The language of a brother is permitted, the other’s is banned. What kind of brotherhood is this?”
Prayers took places in 36 centers in Van, Hakkari, Tatvan, Yüksekova, Bulanýk, Varto, Malazgirt, Patnos, Doðubayazýt, Erciþ, Adana, Mersin, Ýzmir, Manisa, Diyarbakýr, Lice, Silvan, Bismil, Batman, Þýrnak, Cizre, Ýdil, Silopi, Siirt, Kurtalan, Urfa, Viranþehir, Ceylanpýnar, Suruç, Nusaybin, Kýzýltepe, Derik, Aydýn, Ergani, Beytüþþebap and Antep as part of civil disobedience actions leaded by the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and many other Kurdish and pro-Kurdish organizations.
