Thousands of people marched in Brussels to call for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and condemn the attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria.
Pro-Palestine slogans were chanted during the march, while Palestinian flags were carried. The demonstrators called for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and an end to the crimes committed against Palestinians living there.
This 8th march in support of Palestinian rights was organized by a coalition of around 60 groups, including the Belgian-Palestinian Association, the Palestinian collective Beitna, CNCD, FGTB, Solidaris, the Christian Workers' Movement and the Progressive Jewish Union of Belgium.
The Kurdish section of the march was organized by the Rojava Solidarity Committee. Young people and student groups organized occupation and protest actions at universities. Young Kurdish activists said the struggle of the Palestinian and Kurdish peoples are one, and emphasized the importance of solidarity.
