Thousands on their way to the Freedom and Democracy Rally in Istanbul
Thousands of people have started to gather to participate in the "Freedom and Democracy" rally organized in Istanbul.
The Istanbul Provincial Organization of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) is organizing a rally in Istanbul in order to support the Great Freedom March that took place between 1-15 February. Like the Great Freedom March, the rally will demand freedom for Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question.
Hours before the rally, thousands of people started to flock to the rally site carrying yellow, red and green colored banners.
Citizens expressed their feelings. Many participants added color to the rally with their local costumes.
