Reactions are growing against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Afrin Canton of Northern Syria.
Thousands of people including opinion leaders of tribes and members of Raqqa Civilian Assembly and Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) staged a march in Raqqa on Saturday in protest at the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Afrin and Northern Syria.
During the march from Al-Naim Square to the Beledi Stadium in the city centre, Raqqan people saluted the Afrin resistance and protested the attacks of the Turkish state and allied gangs, holding flags of YPG/YPJ (People’s/Women’s Defense Units) and images of YPJ fighter Avesta Xabur who carried out an action of self-sacrifice against Turkish forces in Afrin.
The march turned into a rally at the stadium. Following one minute’s silence, representatives of Raqqa Civilian Assembly, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Domestic Security Forces and Raqqa Civilian Assembly’s Women Council held speeches.
Speakers underlined that the Turkish state targets the free will of peoples by attacking Afrin, and that Afrin will triumph just like Kobane did.
