Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement to the press after the MGK (National Security Council) and Cabinet meetings held today in the wake of the failed coup attempt of 15 July.
Erdoğan announced that Turkish National Security Council has decided on a three-month state of emergency across the country.
Turkish President said they proposed the declaration of a state of emergency in accordance with the Article 120 of the Constitution, and the Cabinet has agreed on this proposal.
