Three people sent to prison in Mardin

Three people in Mardin saw their prison sentences upheld and were sent to prison.

The 7 years and 6 months’ prison sentence handed down to Mevlüde Ökmen, Naci Arslan and Davut Tekin, who were arrested during the self-government resistance in Mardin's Derik district in 2016 and then released pending trial, was upheld by the Supreme Court of Appeals.

The 3 people whose sentences were upheld were first taken into custody from their homes and the verdict was confirmed in Mardin Courthouse where they were brought.

Ökmen, Arslan and Tekin were arrested and sent to Mardin E Type Closed Prison.
