Three women MPs will be striped off their parliamentary duties

HDP’s four MPs (including three women) will be stripped off their parliamentary duties along with CHP MP Enis Berberoglu, reports say.

As new legislative year for the Turkish parliament will start on October 1, the situation of 5 MPs is listed high on the agenda.

The parliament's president demands four HDP MP’s to be stripped of their parliamentary duties. HDP MPs Caglar Demirel, Besime Konca and Abdullah Zeydan were convicted of “terrorism related charges” while Leyla Zana did not attend any of the parliamentary sessions because she refused to take the parliamentary oath.

CHP MP Enis Berberoglu is also convicted of “terrorism related chargers” and is now serving a 25-year prison sentence.

It's expected that the Turkish parliament will vote to strip 5 MPs of their parliamentary duties.
