AKP (Justice and Development Party) deputy provincial chair for the province of Þýrnak was killed last night in front of his house by unknown assailants. The assailants opened fire on Ali Kýlýnç at around 7:30 p.m., critically wounding him in the head and the chest. The politician was immediately taken to Þýrnak state hospital where he died later the same night.
An investigation launched last night is still ongoing.
