Tevgara Jinên Azad (TJA)- Free Women's Movement activist Beritan Önen, who was detained in Amed as part of an investigation opened by Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been remanded in custody.

After being taken into custody in Amed on 2 March, Önen was transferred to Mersin, where the investigation is based. She appeared in court on Tuesday. After the prosecutor's statement, Önen was sent to Mersin Criminal Judge of Peace on Duty with the claim of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and was arrested on the same charge.
