The European Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-E) will take to the streets with the slogan "Leader Apo's Freedom is Our Freedom" on the occasion of the anniversary of the International Conspiracy against the Kurdish people, which started on 9 October 1998, in the person of Abdullah Öcalan.
The TJK-E statement called for strong participation in the protests to be held all over Europe on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October, and said: ““We are entering the 25th year of the international conspiracy against the Kurdish people in the person of Leader Apo. The forces that carried out the 9 October Conspiracy aimed to liquidate the Kurdistan freedom movement and the freedom struggle in the Middle East, but they failed. On the contrary, the conspirators were defeated, and the struggle for freedom grew and became hope for the whole world. First of all, the historical resistance of Leader Apo and the resistance of the peoples of Kurdistan has nullified this concept. We condemn once again with great hatred the most brutal and inhumane conspiracy in human history. We once again commemorate the heroes who fought, resisted and fell martyrs against the conspiracy with respect and gratitude.
'Leader Apo’s freedom is our freedom'
The Democratic and Free Life paradigm developed by Leader Apo has given hope to the peoples of Kurdistan, the Middle East and the world. The democratization of Turkey and the Middle East has been the only option to solve the problems and develop women's libertarian and egalitarian common life. The increasing sympathy of this philosophy with each passing day has disturbed the fascist Turkish state and its rulers. For this reason, a comprehensive attack and absolute isolation are implemented.
This absolute isolation and attacks on Leader Apo are an attack against all Kurdish people, women and humanity. The silence of all international institutions, especially the CPT, causes the AKP-MHP fascist government to deepen these policies. The silence of international institutions makes them complicit in this fascism.”
