Travelogue from Rojava in Heilbronn

In the Kurdish cultural association in Heilbronn, an activist reported on his trip to Northern Syria and the work of the internationalist community in Rojava.

At the invitation of the Kurdish youth movement, an internationalist reported on Saturday in the Kurdish cultural association in Heilbronn on his trip to Rojava last year. About 50 people participated in the event.

In the welcome speech of the organizers, the current crisis of capitalist modernity and its effects especially on young people were discussed. It was emphasized that Rojava offered a lived alternative to this. Afterwards a film about the role of the ecology and youth movement and the perspectives of the students in Rojava was screened.

The speaker reported on the structures and tasks of the internationalist community of Rojava and the women's village of Jinwar, which was evacuated for security reasons at the beginning of the Turkish invasion of northern Syria last October and is now inhabited again.

After a lunch break, the event was concluded with an intensive discussion round.
