TUAD warned that preventing a visit with Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan during the coronavirus pandemic increased concerns.
TUAD, the association of solidarity with prisoners' families has issued a written statement against the discriminatory law of execution recently approved by parliament.
The statement stressed the association concern for the conditions of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Hamile Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Kanar and Veysi Aktaş who are imprisoned in Imralı island.
The statement stated that keeping prisoners in jail during this pandemic is equivalent to attempted murder.
The statement said: "The government has once again found an excuse to deepen isolation of Mr. Öcalan, who is in İmralı Prison together with Hamile Yıldırım, Ömer hayri Kanar and Veysi Aktaş. The continue rejection of the request for visiting the prisoners in Imrali is a matter of increasing concern. This law of execution proposed by the AKP and MHP is a law of shame for humanity."
