Turkish army declares cross border operation

With a written statement published on their website, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) announced that wide range air supported cross-border operations had been launched in the Federal Region of Kurdistan.

On contrary to the reports appearing on media, the statement remarked that three PKK members lost their lives so far.

The statement also gave information about the attacks against soldiers in Çukurca district of Hakkari at the night of October 19th and the attacks carried out by the army since the attack took place.

“To find and counteract the members of the terror organization,large scaled air-supported land operations have been launched in a total of five separate points both inside and outside (northern Iraq) of the border with the participation of 22 battalions consisting of Commando, Gendarmerie Special Operation (JÖH) and Special Forces” said the statement.
