Turkish forces continue their attacks on graves of guerrillas

Turkish state forces know no bounds in their attacks against the values of Kurdish people.

In the village of Ermişler in Susuzlar district of Kars province, the tombstone of HPG guerrilla Tuncay Mihyaz was demolished by Turkish soldiers.

The attack took place Wednesday morning when soldiers entered the graveyard with a scoop.

Villagers reacted to the desecration of the grave. When they asked the soldiers why they were doing this, they were responded; “His family was informed a month ago. The images on the tombstone need to be removed.”

Soldiers also smashed the photograph left on the HPG guerrilla’s grave.

This is not the first time Turkish state forces are attacking graves of fallen guerrillas. In recent years, dozens of cemeteries where guerrillas are buried have been demolished or bombed by the Turkish state.
