Turkish parliament passes motion for deployment to Karabakh

An occupation motion against Armenia after South Kurdistan, Rojava and Libya.

The Turkish Parliament has passed a motion for the deployment of Turkish troops for “peacekeeping mission” in Upper Karabakh for one year.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) voted against the motion which was backed by the other four parties; AKP, MHP, IYI Party and CHP, as was the case in the previous motions passed by the parliament for cross-border operations.

Speaking about the subject, HDP Adana MP Tülay Hatimoğlulları said the following; “We in the HDP did and will always oppose a conflict between peoples for whatever reason, deepening of regional conflicts and a conflict between the neighboring folks. HDP has never voted in favor of a motion for cross-border military operations since it entered the parliament. We have always expressed our commitment that the insistence on dialogue, peace and political solutions in politics should never be pushed into the background.”

The Turkish state has passed several motions for military operations against southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) so far. The latest ones are directed at Rojava and Libya.

As the leading power inducing the war in Upper Karabakh, Turkey has provided Azerbaijan with military and diplomatic support, as well as with the mercenary groups under its command.
