Reports say the Turkish army forces, who attempted to invade Southern Kurdistan from the Çukurca border line but had to retreat due to the heavy blows they received from the guerrilla, fell into an ambush near the Oğul (Tale) village near Çukurca.

Many soldiers including ranking officers were reported dead as a result of the guerillas’ action.

Turkish sources had claimed one captain died.

Meanwhile, 2 soldiers were reported dead in an explosive trap set up in the Martyr Munzur area in Southern Kurdistan territory.
