Turkish war planes hit villages in South Kurdistan

Recent airstrikes carried out by Turkish warplanes in South Kurdistan led to the destruction of a large number of small cattle in a village in Kandil area and fields and gardens of villagers in the area of Xakurke.

According to the information received, the bombing of Turkish warplanes on the village of Maxo Bizina in Kandil region on Tuesday night led to the destruction of many sheep and goats of the villagers in uplands. No losses of lives were reported in the area.

Following bombings in Metina and Xakurkê regions on Tuesday, warplanes flew over the Kandil area on Wednesday.

In a statement about the recent aerial attacks of the Turkish army, People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) remarked that warplanes had targeted the areas of Suredê and Kortek in Kandil region, Golka area in Metina region as well as the village of Bermize in Xakurke region. HPG-BIM noted that fields and gardens of villagers were largely damaged by the attacks.
