TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association) Board Chair Ümit Boyner has urged the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) to go to the Parliament, saying that “Otherwise, the new constitution-making process will certainly be interrupted.”
Remarking that they will continue to contribute to the process within the works for the new constitution, Boyner argued that BDP members should represent their voters at the Parliament.
“In this respect, we expect the BDP deputies to come to the Parliament on October 1st. The Parliament is the legislative power where political parties take place to ‘represent voters’ and to solve the problems that prevent their coming to the Parliament. TUSIAD underlines this sensibility and hopes that the Parliament will gather with full participation. It is not realistic to find a solution out of the Parliament”, said Boyner.
Yesterday Boyner met with Parliamentary Deputy Speaker Cemil Çiçek who expressed that elections will lose their meaning if problems aren’t discussed under the roof of the Parliament.
