Twenty five independent MPs joined BDP

Twenty five deputies from the Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block have joined the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party). The group will tomorrow meet with president Abdullah Gül and will then begin procedures to form a parliamentary group.

Hatip Dicle, Faysal Sarýyýldýz, Kemal Aktaþ, Selma Irmak, Gülser Yýldýrým and Ýbrahim Ayhan are not part of the group as they are still in prison, while Leyla Zana, Ahmet Türk and Aysel Tuðluk cannot be part of the group because of a previous indictment. Levent Tüzel, being president of Emek (Labor) Partisi and Þerafettin Elçi, being president of KADEP also are not in the BDP group.
