Twenty BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) members have been detained in Çukurca, in the province of Hakkari, included the party president Sýddýk Güzel.

Yesterday in Çukurca four policemen were seriously wounded following an explosion. The reaction by the authorities has come in no time, with dozens of houses raided and the twenty BDP members taken into custody.

Among the people taken into custody, the Çukurca councillor Diyar Kara, and the Çukurca BDP president.
