Two books on the tragedy of Yazidi people presented in Italy

Two books on the tragedy of the Yazidi people were presented in Parma, Italy.

The book "Lonely Mountain" (La Montagna Sola) written by Chiara Cruciati and Rojbin Beritan, and the comic book Don't Sleep Until Shengal by cartoonist Michele Rech, better known as Zerocalcare, were presented in the Italian city of Parma.

At the event, the heavy isolation of Kurdish people's Leader Abdullah Öcalan was condemned at the event, and a call was made to attend the march to be held in Rome on 11 February.

On 26 May 2021, a group of various unionists, association members, journalists, intellectuals and the cartoonist Zerocalcare from Italy visited Maxmur camp and Shengal. The delegation was organized by Verso il Kurdistan association. The visit, which lasted about a week, was carried out despite heavy obstacles.

Only 2 people were able to provide the medical aid they had taken with them to Maxmur camp, while Shengal was entered after a 4-day blockade.
