Two children who where held in Al-Hol camp, under control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, were brought to Finland on Saturday evening.

Finnish senior foreign ministry official Pekka Puustinen said in a news conference on Saturday evening that two children from Al-Hol Camp were brought to Finland.

Puustinen said that no statement would be made over the identity of children in order to protect personal rights.

It was reported that the children were brought to Helsinki's Vanda Airport by plane by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and delivered to the authorities of the Social and Health Care Institution.

The fate of around 10 Finnish national women and 30 children in the Al-Hol Camp has caused great controversy in Finland.
