A pregnant woman and her 6-year-old daughter have died as a result of a clash between police and guerrillas in Batman last night. It is understood that the woman and her daughter were killed by police fire in a tragic event which resembles that lived in Þemdinli a few weeks ago. Eye witnesses have confirmed to ANF that the police opened fire at random hitting the woman and her daughter who died on the spot. The woman's husband and another daughter have been wounded.

It is also reported that three Kurdish guerrillas have lost their life in the clash.

The clash occurred in the Yavuz Selim neighborhood of Batman at around 11pm last night.
