Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Amed (Diyarbakır) administrator Ali İhsan Karahan was taken into custody by the police while leaving the party building yesterday evening. Karahan was taken to the provincial security directorate.

On the other hand, two HDP members who were detained during house raids carried out by soldiers in Amed city center on September 27, were referred to court yesterday after the finalization of procedures at Lice District Gendarmerie Command.

Both detainees, one of them being HDP Amed administrator Şeyhmus Şenyiğit, were remanded in custody and sent to Diyarbakır D Type Prison for alleged “membership to an illegal organization”.
