Hamdi Caner who was shot during a demonstration in Serhat neighborhood of Van today has died.

According to the reports coming through, Hamdi Caner (55) was wounded after being shot with a bullet in the chest while joining a mass demo in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance. The man who was referred to Van Research and Training Hospital has lost his life here.

On the other hand, 22-year-old demonstrator Emrah Demir was killed and many others were wounded in Batman after fire was opened from the provincial office of the Hür Dava Party on the mass protesting for Kobanê on the Diyarbakır Avenue. Demir's body has been taken to Batman State Hospital.

Following two days of conflict in the city, the Governor of Batman has declared a curfew late Tuesday. Turkish trooops entered the city centre following the announcement of the curfew.
