The border neighborhoods of Küçükkendirli and Büyükkendirli in Suruç district of Urfa will reportedly be evacuated in line with an order the governor of Urfa has issued today.

The Governor has reportedly issued the evacuation order on the grounds of security risk. Conveying the order to the residents of both neighborhoods, security forces are continuing to make announcements for the evacuation to take place in the soonest time possible.

Authorities have in the meantime reportedly announced that the among the local people living in the mentioned neighborhoods those who have nowhere to go will be sheltered at the guesthouses of public enterprises.

All schools at the border have also been closed temporarily.
