Two soldiers have been killed and four others injured as a result of an attack carried out on a gendarmerie post in Siirt late on Thursday.

The wounded soldiers were taken to Siirt State Hospital for treatment.

It also reported that in Pervari district of Siirt, several public buildings, police department and gendarmerie buildings with rockets and machine guns where attacked.

Large-scale operation was launched in the area after the attack.
