An Ankara based NGO, Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (ASAM), working in close collaboration with the UNHCR, has started an extensive work to specify and meet the needs of the Kobanê refugees who took shelter in the border villages of Suruç after the assaults of the ISIS gangs on the town started two months ago.

The members of ASAM continue their work in the Mehser village which houses both refugees from Kobanê and the people holding resistance vigil in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance. The members of ASAM are recording the basic needs of the refuges aiming to provide the accurate aid.

ASAM team is composed of 60 persons, and will continue their work in all the villages and hamlets along the border in order to specify all the needs of the refugees as the winter has started to make itself felt in the region.
