Gunmen shot on HDP’s Erdemli building several times last night around 02:00. Bullets hit windows and wall and caused material damage in the building.

No one is detained after the attack.

HDP’s local official Ilham Yurtsever condemned the attack and said that the discriminative policies of Turkish government cause polarization and tension. Yurtsever also said that the attack against their building is connected with the provocative statements by the government.

“These attacks aim to set people at odds but they will never achieve their aim” Mehmet Kadra, the co-chair of HDP’s Erdemli branch said.
