US House of Representatives wants sanctions on Turkey

Draft bill on Turkey sanctions was passed by the US House of Representatives.

The 740 billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) bill which includes the implementation of sanctions on Turkey due to the purchase of S-400 air defense systems from Russia was passed with an overwhelming majority in the US House of Representatives.

President Donald Trump's right to veto the bill will also disappear if it passes by more than two-thirds majority in the Senate which is expected to vote on the bill this week.

Some of the possible sanctions are as follows: "Cessation of export-import bank support, no credit from the US and international financial institutions, denial of direct transactions with the US Federal Reserve and prohibition of transactions in foreign currency."
