A demonstration will be held in Van on Monday evening to protest against the recent arrest of mayors and BDP executives in the city.

The protest action will be joined by representatives of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and civil society organizations who will march from Mavi Plaza to the Municipality building at 17.00 this evening.

Banners reading “Do not touch my will” have been hung in Van streets before the demonstration which is expected to be joined by tens of thousands of people.
