Clashes in the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, are continuing since last night as YPG forces are strongly responding to the intensified major attacks by ISIS gangs.

The fighting on the eastern and western fronts is also visible from the Suruç side of the border in North Kurdistan.

ISIS gangs who launched a new wave of attacks with heavy weaponry from three sides of Kobanê last night are reported to have suffered heavy losses and casualties during night-long clashes with YPG forces.

According to the reports received from sources close to YPG, hundreds of gang members were killed and a tank belonging to them was destroyed on the Girê Miştenur (Miştenur Hill) where YPG forces repulsed the attacks of the gangs.

YPG forces also destroyed another tank of the gangs at the southern front early Saturday morning.

Clashes in which YPG / YPJ forces are strongly responding to the attacks are continuing as gangs have mounted a new wave of attacks at all three fronts in the morning.

In the meantime, thousands are continuing to flock to the Kobanê border as of early morning hours on the first day of the Aid-Al-Adha (muslim festival of sacrifices) in solidarity with the growing resistance against ISIS gangs.
