Women wearing white head scarves rallied in Cologne

The hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been carried out by 7000 prisoners and activists around the world. 

Women wearing white head scarves protested the Turkish police attacks on mothers in front of the Turkish Consulate in Cologne.

The women were protesting the new attacks on mothers organising sit-in to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance carried out by their sons and daughters in prisons.

The hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been carried out by 7000 prisoners and activists around the world.

Speaking on behalf of the Women's Assembly in Vienna, Feride Halitoğlu said that the Turkish government is actually violating its own laws by implementing isolation and reminded that HDP Hakkari MP and DTK co-chair Leyla Güven has reached day 183 of the hunger strike resistance she leads demanding the end of isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.

Halitoğlu also reminded that there are 15 prisoners on death fast and that 15 more will be joining them on 10 May.
