Young people protested in Stuttgart the Turkish state attacks that violate international law and demanded that Abdullah Öcalan be released for a peaceful solution.
The Kurdish youth movements Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ), Jinên Ciwanên Tekoşer (TekoJIN) and internationalist young people disrupted an event by the Union90/Greens in Stuttgart to condemn the German government for its support of the Turkish state's war against the Kurdish people and to demand an end to its dirty cooperation.
Young people entered the hall where the event was held and read a statement saying: "The occupying Turkish state has been carrying out massacres in the regions liberated from ISIS in Northern and Eastern Syria for more than two months. Turkey bombed the infrastructure serving the people, such as schools, power plants, food factories, hospitals and other facilities."
The statement also condemned the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, which is in its 25th year, and praised the struggle of the Kurdish people against such a conspiracy. The statement continued: "The Federal Republic of Germany has its share of responsibility for this situation. First of all, it is guilty of not campaigning for a democratic solution in Kurdistan and not pressuring for the release of Abdullah Öcalan. Kurds are one of Germany's largest immigrant ethnic groups."
The statement also underlined the hunger strike carried out by “Kurdish political prisoners in Turkey and North Kurdistan to demand freedom for Öcalan. If the demands are not met, the prisoners may have to take the resistance to the next stage. For this reason, we demand that the Federal Republic of Germany to take a clear stance against Turkey's attacks that violate international law. We call for the release of Abdullah Öcalan so that a peaceful solution can be found."
