Young people set off for Duisburg on the third day of 'Journey of Freedom'

Young people reached Essen on the second day of the march that will take them from Dortmund to Cologne to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Today the march will arrive in Duisburg.

Kurdish and internationalist young people living in Europe are carrying out a 'Journey of Freedom' march to demand freedom for Abdullah Ocalan. Over 40 internationalists and more than 200 Kurdish young people from Germany, Switzerland, France, England, Spain, Italy and Bolivia are attending the march.

The young people started their march in Dortmund and marched to Bochum and then Essen. Today they will arrive in Duisburg.

During the march, young people drew attention to the aggravated isolation in Imrali and demanded freedom for the Kurdish people’s leader.

Young activists explained why Abdullah Öcalan should be released through leaflets that were read and distributed to passers-by.

On Tuesday evening, the young people came together at the Essen Democratic Kurdish Community Center and talked about Abdullah Öcalan, the current process and what needs to be done. Then, they organized quiz competitions, halay and various activities among themselves.
