YPG General Command issued a written statement and recalled that they had cleared Manbij of ISIS gangs on August 15, 2016, with the support of Manbij Military Council and the international coalition forces.

YPG stated that the liberation of Manbij and the training of Manbij Military Assembly have been completed, and the current military and security institutions in Manbij are capable of responding to a possible attack.

YPG General Command announced that they are withdrawing all their fighters from Manbij and these fighters will be participating in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates in North Raqqa.

Lastly, YPG thanked the heroic people of Manbij that had embraced YPG fighters, and noted that they are ready to respond to the calls of the people of Manbij in the future, if needed.
