YPG: Six killed in suicide attack in Tirbesbiyê

People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office has released a statement about the suicide attack carried out by al-Qaeda linked armed gang group al-Nusra in Tirbesbiyê on Saturday.

YPG stated that the suicide attack which targeted the Martyr Demhat YPG headquarters left two YPG and YPJ (Women's Defense Units) fighters, two members of the Culture and Art Movement, and two civilians dead.

YPG said that their fighters noticed the bomb-laden vehicle as it approached the YPG headquarters, tried to stop the vehicle but couldn't manage to prevent the detonation.

YPG evaluated the suicide attack as the manifestation of al-Qaeda linked gang groups' defeat by the Kurdish resistance and of their desperation and helplessness.

The names of the four victims were listed as follows;

- YPJ fighter Newroz Mihemed, born in Qamişlo in 1994

- YPG fighter Mihemed Sedîq Şindî, born in Tirbespiyê's Nesran village in 1958

- Culture and Art Movement member Osman Elî Oso

- Culture and Art Movement member Welat Dêrik
