YPJ and Manbij Military Council fighters continue confronting attacks by the Turkish state and allied mercenaries.
The resistance of the Manbij Military Council fighters and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) against the attacks by the invading Turkish state and allied mercenaries continues in the countryside of Manbij. The fighters stressed that they would frustrate the attacks, stop the advance of the invaders and liberate the occupied areas.
‘Operation Manbij for Martyr Ezîz Ereb’ to be completed successfully
Speaking about the ‘Operation Manbij for Martyr Ezîz Ereb’ against the invading Turkish army and SNA mercenaries, launched on 23 December, YPJ fighter Ronahî Ozan said: “There is relentless resistance against the attacks of the Turkish state. We do not allow them to advance even one step. The more they attack, the stronger our response becomes. We will successfully complete this operation.”
Drawing attention to the regions occupied by the occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries, Ronahî Ozan said, “Our goal is to frustrate every attack against Northern and Eastern Syria and to liberate these regions from occupation completely.”
‘Turkish claim that they captured Tishrin is not true’
Ronahî Ozan stated that they would confront attacks until they finalised the operation. Remarking that the false news spread by the Turkish state that they captured Tishrin was untrue, Ronahî Ozan said, “The Turkish state claims that they captured Tishrin. But Tishrin is protected by the YPJ and the Manbij Military Council. We are repelling the attacks on Tishrin as well.”
Mercenaries unable to withstand the resistance flee
Regarding the Tishrin resistance, Gelî Kobanê, a fighter of the Manbij Military Council, said: “The Turkish state sought to reach the dam. After the occupation of the Tishrin Dam, it meant to carry out attacks to occupy all of Northern and Eastern Syria. The resistance ongoing for days has frustrated the Turkish state's goal. With the Martyr Ezîz Ereb Operation, we dealt a heavy blow to the Turkish state. When the attacking mercenaries meet our resistance, they flee without looking back and even without retrieving their casualties.”
