HDP Co-President Figen Yüksekdağ stated that the HDP has become the only democratic option against the dark coalition in Turkey because of the political coup of this coalition. Yüksekdağ said that HDP parliamentarians were determined to continue their march for freedom and democracy despite the attacks of the establishment, and described the lifting of HDP parliamentarians’ immunities as the "reflection of the coup mechanism inside the Parliament." The HDP Co-President emphasized that the AKP, MHP and CHP launched a coup coalition and showed their anti-democratic stances, but would not yield any results just like previous governments that had attacked the Kurdish movement.
